NOMINATIONS FOR BJANA ELECTIONS JAN 2026 – DEC 2027

As per the BJANA By-laws, the election of members of the Executive Committee of the Association for the period Jan 2026 – Dec 2027 will be held for “a team” that will consist of the positions listed in the table below. The voters will nominate a team consisting of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Treasurer and minimum of four Executive Members. The election will be held among the nominated teams.

*The four Executive Committee Members may be required to fill in positions of Cultural Secretary, Fund Raiser, Public Relations, or any other duties assigned by the President/Vice President.

After the election, the elected Executive Committee, at their discretion, may expand the team by adding up to 15 additional committee members. This addition would be made by invitation only from the members of the BJANA community.

Please note that nominations must be filed for a team comprising of minimum 10 members as mentioned above. Individual nominations will not be accepted.

Please note that today is the cut off date of membership registration to be eligible for voting in this year’s election. Please make sure that your email addresses are on BJANA records. Please go to the www.bjana.org website to register or to update your email address prior to the due date of October 24, 2025 11:59 PM EST. All members registered on or before the due date will be eligible to vote. Family members above age of 18 as of October 24, 2025 can vote independently provided they are registered separately with their respective email ID.

ELIGIBILITY:

Members of BJANA above age of 18 as of October 24, 2025, who all are interested in contesting the election for any position in the team are eligible to participate. The Presidential or Vice-Presidential candidates must send nominations for the team members to election@bjana.org on or before the due date. For any questions or concerns, candidates may contact the Election Committee office via email at election@bjana.org . Also, the candidates may email the Election Committee or refer to the By-laws if they have any questions.
